Cannot a central body
lay down simple guidelines in teaching Yoga in schools,
for example a recommendation to integrate a meditative
posture for children where the child learns to sit
still for a short time (5 to 10 minutes) with eyes
shut and with no body movement and most important
busy with a simple mental count of one to hundred
and reverse 100 to 1. Another Yoga asana could be
simple stretch, lying down or standing co-ordinated
breathing and attention to areas being stretched to
engage the child's mind. Stretching upwards in standing
would require extra attention and concentration and
may prove more helpfull.
Similarly bending forward gently while sitting or
standing exhaling the breath at that time would help
in relaxation if done mildly.
The point is that the psycho-physical practice of
Yoga if done correctly lead us to steadiness and mind
training resulting in attitudinal changes.
The question is whether we misuse yoga technology
for extroversion or use it for introversion and slow
static pause for poise and serenity? |
