Participation in Citizens Movement for Equal Streets – Mumbai – Week 3 – 23 Nov 2014

The third week of the Citizens Movement for Equal Streets was an extremely lively affair. Around 40,000 participants were reported to have attended the event held on Sunday 23rd November 2014, between 7am and 11 am. More and more families were seen bringing their children along too for the increased activities, fun and games.

The yoga points, organized by The Yoga Institute, Santacruz, were brimming with crowds learning concepts and techniques from the various volunteer teachers from the Institute.

Here are some of the pictorial highlights of Week 3 of the participation of The Yoga Institute in this global event. The next event will be held on Sunday 30th November, 2014 from 7am-11am on Linking Road, Bandra and Khar areas. See you there !!

    Hello 🙂
    Amazing feat !
Years ago I attended a weeklong yoga residential course in your esteemed Institute in Santacruz, when I lived in Mumbai. I wish I was there now !. I still remember Smt Hansa Jayadeva’s sweet encouraging smile and words and the good time I had with all. We were all strangers on the first day of the course and by the end of the week we were in tears as we had to leave to get back home. We had bonded into a nice happy family of all ages from teens to senior citizens. Although this was over 2 decades ago, it is very much fresh in my mind. I send my heartfelt wishes and congratulations for all the meaningful activities you all are doing.

  • Oh i missed this event. It looks like we all have a lot of fun. You should also think about doing this kind of event in other cities, like Pune is not that much far away from Mumbai
