5 Things to quit right away
Any given life is about the choices we make. The list is exhaustive, but we all can start simple and work towards our development both at the gross and the subtle level. To be mindfully aware of every action we perform every day is not possible but a little mindfulness goes a long way.
Do one thing in life that is right. Start with something simple and easily doable. Like you get to make a choice in life about what you put into your system. As they say, you are what you eat. It is no secret and yogis decoded the secret of longevity, and healthy life is a balanced diet. Well, we are not perfect in our daily food choices but a little step at a time helps.
Stop storing processed foods at home. You will notice the intake levels will go down accordingly. Have one healthy sattvic meal of the day with your entire family.
Overuse of words that mean nothing. Start observing your daily output of verbiage. You will notice more than most of the time a simple “yes” or “ no” is enough yet we indulge in more words that are not required. Stop one to five minutes each day and observe silence in thought, word and action. Try this and will save enough energy to last you through the day.
Life is what you make of it. Either you are a part of the solution or part of the problem. Stop over thinking and choose every single time to be part of a solution rather than the problem.
In life, any given situations try to keep calm and try to give the benefit of the doubt as much as you can. Balance is the key. Flexible and an open mind helps solve problems quickly rather than rigid and extreme points of view. Remember you cannot change the situation or other people, but you can positively adapt and be moderate in your viewpoint.
The harder you work, the luckier you will get. Stop over emphasising on ritualistic approach and make an effort to evolve on the spiritual plane. Consistent effort and awareness is the key for self-development.
