22nd June 2014 - Sunday - Aparigraha "Aparigraha means to avoid hoarding things. We tend to keep collecting many things. In the beginning, it doesn’t seem much. But slowly they increase to such an extent that they fill up cupboards. So we need to think about whether this is right.” 23rd June 2014 - Monday - Abhinivesha "This self idea is very strong. As soon as you say mine, then we are attached, then we worry about it and we can't get free. This is what the statement means."

14th June 2014 - Saturday - God Decides “God decides. This is the theme. Humans think but it doesn't really finally end according to our thinking. We make decisions, they can go wrong, and make one decision that becomes correct. So if you can have that as a motto in life, leave it to God. We must set a certain trend but not pursue it too much. Set the trend and leave it. Ultimately, God will decide. This is a very simple, standard way of thinking from very early times in India.” 15th June 2014 - Sunday - Satya (Truth) “I would not speak untruth, so I would not lie. And that would help.”

Patanjali Yoga Sutra Transcribed from Parisamvad at The Yoga Institute. Chapter 2, Sutra 23 Patanjai Yoga Sutra 2.23 Sva Svamisaktyoh Svarupopalabdhi Hetuh Samyogah Sva: of being owned Svami: of being owner, master Saktyoh: of the powers Svarupa: of the nature, own nature, own form Upalabdhi: recognition Hetuh: that brings about, the cause, reason Samyogah: union, conjunction The Reason For The Coming Together Of The Seen And The Seer Is For The Seer To Unfold The Awareness Of His True Nature And Power Listen to the audio: Check this out on Chirbit Smt. Hansaji J. Yogendra:

"There are two things - Sva Shakti is Prakriti and Swami Shakti is Purusha. Basically Purusha has lost his identity. He is entangled with Prakriti and so now he doesn't know what he is. Now, to understand 'Who Am I?' I should go through some process. So Prakriti is showing the world and Purusha is watching (Drashta) and while watching, some wisdom comes. His attention suddenly goes to himself and then he realizes that he is different from Prakriti. And slowly that realization dawns, that knowledge comes. Right now all these things are there because of ignorance, then once knowledge comes, the Purusha is freed from Prakriti.

8th June 2014 - Sunday - Faith “There is a saying in Sanskrit, "Shraddha-mayo 'yam purushah." It means that a human being is made of Shraddha / faith. The more the faith, the greater is the person. We have little faith. Real faith is never in some material thing or to attain something, it is only in God. He is behind everything that is happening. But we are not able to have such faith, so our faith has no meaning. There should be no vested interest behind faith. Faith is peace. When a person is peaceful and wise and thinks accordingly, he has real faith. We are unable to reach such a state and so our faith is weak and many times we do not get certain things. Keep faith and you will automatically get things.” 9th June 2014 - Monday - Avidhya "Wrong knowledge as right knowledge, that is our way. We are unable to get through this mistake. We are not able to establish what is right and what is wrong. See what yoga does, is that it finally separates out these two and as a result sets out the course of rightness and this brings satisfaction. But we are hardly able to understand, and persist in the wrong way of thinking, believing, acting and living."

"Today's sutra makes one point very clear that every individual has to work on himself, he has to uplift himself, realize himself and release from the bondage of work and death. It means he has to develop pure, clear wisdom. This itself shows that it's self evolution and self-realization and reaching to the highest knowledge, i.e. releasing from bondage of birth and death and pain and diseases.

Patanjali Yoga Sutra Transcribed from Parisamvad at The Yoga Institute. Chapter 2, Sutra 21 Patanjali Yoga Sutra 2.21 Tadarthah Eva Drsyasya Atma Tadarthah: for the purpose Eva: alone Drsyasya: of the seen, nature - Prakrti Atma: spirit, seer, Self The Knowable Material World Is Only For The Experience Of The Self Listen to the audio: Check this out on Chirbit Smt. Hansaji J. Yogendra:

"They say that the knowable material world is only for the experience of the spirit. The point is that this whole world is for experience. The spirit within is Purusha or consciousness and Prakriti is the material world. The nature of Prakriti is explained in the two earlier Sutras viz. it has its own character and is made of 3 Gunas which are continuously active. Now what we have to do is experience, learn from our experience and go above the experience.
