International Yoga Seminar
25th December 2017, 4:00-5:30 pm
St. Xaviers College, Fort, Mumbai
Yoga is the union of individual with the divine consciousness. The ancient science leads us to a path to merge with the divine, which is the ultimate aim of life. A lot of interest has been developed in this age old lost science over past two decades. People have become curious to know about its various benefits on physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual levels. Also, the practitioners have accepted that it is the ideal way of life through which a person can maintain the balance at all levels of existence.
As a part of Inauguration of Centenary Year Celebrations of The Yoga Institute, an International Yoga Seminar will be organised with the theme; Yoga: The Culture of Tomorrow. We believe that the yogic knowledge should be passed on in its true form from one generation to the other and should be well preserved for the generations to come. We aim to begin the 100 th year of the oldest yoga school with this affirmation and further highlight the importance of yoga for human life.
With the seminar, we aim:
- To create awareness that Yoga is so much beyond asanas
- To elaborate the four paths of Yoga: Raj Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Karma Yoga
- To encourage the union with the divine using various yogic tools.
- To elaborate the importance of yoga for upcoming generations
