“These are the basic thoughts. The food that we eat, recreation, our behaviour and the kind of thinking. We get lost into just food and pleasure. There are processes you know that increase your weight. Sometimes persons lead to bad temper, easily angry, so joy of living is not available. We need not make everybody laugh all the time, but at least we should be mild mannered and accept people and move away from them at the right time. But overload of food and drinks, its spoils the whole thing. Now in yoga we are talking of disguise of balance – a balanced state of mind. We are not able to give attention to that. Our attention is on unbalanced condition. Excitement, anger, show; the very purpose living and enjoying it is missed. Yoga is a very good science. It teaches us all the educative things – life, living, meaning of life and things like that. So while we are coming to yoga, let us not get lost in just eating and enjoying. Let us see how we are living – living part of life.”

Satsang is an open meeting held every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at The Yoga Institute, Santacruz East, Mumbai. It involves an interesting presentation to the public, made by the students of the Teacher Training Course. Each week, a new presentation of a Yogic concept is made in a simple way through skits and decoration for the general public, followed by a short speech from our Gurus, Dr. Jayadeva and Smt. Hansaji Yogendra.
