“Basically what we have to learn here at The Yoga Institute, is to handle the mind. See if we can make the mind quieter, steadier; which unfortunately, we don’t attempt. We try to get a little fun out of the meetings, some points that we can laugh with others and that ends the Sunday morning programmes. Actually, these are good occasions to do a little further thinking of how we behave. Mostly our behaviour is very shallow, half-hearted and mistakes occur. Everyday if we can only start with this very small point of having a second thought on what we intend doing, it can help. Just hurrying up and saying something so that others are happy and pleased and clap, that is not the right kind of thing.”

Satsang is an open meeting held every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at The Yoga Institute, Santacruz East, Mumbai. It involves an interesting presentation to the public, made by the students of the Teacher Training Course. Each week, a new presentation of a Yogic concept is made in a simple way through skits and decoration for the general public, followed by a short speech from our Gurus, Dr. Jayadeva and Smt. Hansaji Yogendra.
