“Our problem is whether that we are totally lost and confused. We have got so many things around us that don’t allow us clarity and in a way it creates problems. Overeating can create many health problems, diseases, mental tensions and what not. But we don’t realize that. See our eating habits are very very bad. They are cause of practically 80% of our disease but we just can’t correct them.

Whenever there is tension we eat wrong kind of things, suffer. So the theme is maintaining a balanced mind, understanding things clear and acting accordingly; so there is an effort which we are not prepared to carry out. Right from the morning to decide that we will maintain a certain amount of calmness, quietness, can help. There is in religious books, they require us to spend sometime in prayer. We laugh it out. Actually it can solve most of our problems. Bring the mind to a zero state a quiet state and life will appear different. Yoga is basically that bringing your mind to that zero state. Frequently during the day we should exercise in this sense, but we have not understood this and just throw it aside. Living hurriedly our life, getting into problems, suffering, and till the end we never come out. It would be good as we come to the Yoga Institute and listen to some talks, we maintain a peaceful state occasionally during the day and see the advantage. We would have benefited by our coming here.”
