“We don’t think seriously about our inter-personal relationships. These are momentary affairs and we pass opinions. See, we have to live in this society, live with people and we should take care that we are maintaining pleasant relations. It would all mean taking interest in others and not getting obsessed with ourselves. To know a bit about others, to mention them, start a conversation of that kind, that would help. Obsession with ourselves is a hindrance. It can happen that persons that we don’t know much, but we have taken trouble and come to know from other sources, about them, in course of time, they are also interested in us and we are able to carry on nicely. See, in life, we don’t have too many people around us; they are few and if we have good relations with them, life itself can be beautiful. So let us try and spend a little time to know about other people, their life, their likes and dislikes and spend some time with them. Be fully equipped with material, details about their life and in course of time, we will have much happier time, happier moments with people who otherwise don’t interest us and we just turn our back to them. After all, we don’t have too many people and one can also feel lonely and alone. Let us avoid this and maintain a better relationship with those few who are around us and enjoy the company. It will ultimately help us.”

Satsang is an open meeting held every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at The Yoga Institute, Santacruz East, Mumbai. It involves an interesting presentation to the public, made by the students of the Teacher Training Course. Each week, a new presentation of a Yogic concept is made in a simple way through skits and decoration for the general public, followed by a short speech from our Gurus, Dr. Jayadeva and Smt. Hansaji Yogendra.
