The topic for the Hindi Satsang on Sunday, 13th January, 2013 was ‘Sanskaras.’ (Values)
Following is the transcript of the speech made by Dr. Jayadeva Yogendra on the topic.
“Things are caused by our parents and other relations and as children, we are helpless. And most of the time, we have what they have lived and said. Rarely do we have that kind of perception and that kind of understanding that we pick up the right things and carry it out. This is there. But whenever it happens, it makes a big difference. It can be two brothers, two friends, they are affected by what goes on around them. So the attitude should be to look a little deeper and not just the external. Try to understand the purpose, meaning, significance and the ultimate value, benefit. We hardly spend much time on all these things. So we catch wrong impressions and follow them and also get directed by them. In yoga, we talk a lot about this Sanskara. In a way there must have been a lot of good Sanskaras that took us to a yoga centre and here to listen to such kind of a talk. If we have that kind of a mind, we might catch them and integrate in our life. All that we can say is, let us hope that such a time has come.”
