“A man who has contentment is always happy. He doesn’t run after more and more. others might call it less, but for him it is enough. Great men in Indian history were all contented. Raja (King) Janak did not think of starting a war for more and more territory. He believed in God and he believed in the situations that would always do good to him. All his life he was very happy. Tilak, Ghandiji, all are the examples. They were able to do a lot. Contentment towards property, towards family, towards money, towards relations, towards situations, all this is required. There is a recent example in our Couples’ Class, a young man came, handsome, nice, good looking and a well placed person in life. And the person with whom he got married, she was practically blind; they got married, and came to know only later on in life. But he had accepted that if they both are there together -fine, and he was totally contented. He didn’t think of anything else, never objected to anything in life and they are living very happily. Whatever you are, God always provides everything. Just live within that.”
