“See the fact is, we never speak the truth. We are always concerned – what will be the effect on others? And we try to fight and we are successful also. We don’t see any need, but the harm that we do to ourselves, we are not able to see. We try to think in duplicate way, hypocrisy, we are afraid that truth is found out. There are numerous problems. See, speaking the truth makes you forthright and bold. It takes away the unnecessary anxiety and worry. This should become a habit with us that we try to say things as they are and not try to hide. Later on in life, they can lead to very good results. All good businessmen want workers to be truthful. Same in other areas. We try to feel happy a little while, having told a lie and nobody notices. But in the end, untruth is found out and people have poor opinion. Let us think for ourselves, whether speaking lies is a better way to function or being bold, forthright and speaking whatever is the correct thing.”
Satsang is an open meeting held every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at The Yoga Institute, Santacruz East, Mumbai. It involves an interesting presentation to the public, made by the students of the Teacher Training Course. Each week, a new presentation of a Yogic concept is made in a simple way through skits and decoration for the general public, followed by a short speech from our Gurus, Dr. Jayadeva and Smt. Hansaji Yogendra.
