“We have kept our mind too soft/weak and that is why it is running wild all the time. Because of this, we are not involved in the work at hand, we cannot concentrate properly. For this, yoga gives us a simple technique – keep the mind one-pointed. And for this, we just have to maintain control over our senses. By doing this, the mind stops running around and becomes focussed on one thing, it becomes concentrated. So yoga techniques are very useful and by practicing them bit by bit, it brings out good results in us.”

– Dr. Jayadeva Yogendra

Satsang is an open meeting held every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at The Yoga Institute, Santacruz East, Mumbai. It involves an interesting presentation to the public, made by the students of the Teacher Training Course. Each week, a new presentation of a Yogic concept is made in a simple way through skits and decoration for the general public, followed by a short speech from our Gurus, Dr. Jayadeva and Smt. Hansaji Yogendra.
