Curl the sides of your tongue upwards, breathe through the mouth and hold the breath for few seconds. Slowly exhale through the nose. Repeat 5 rounds. You will experience your body temperature cools down.

# Tip 2- Sheetkari Pranayam– For th ose of you who find Sheetali (tongue rolling) challenging; try Sheetkari Pranayam- Mouth open and teeth clenched. Press the tongue against the teeth. Breathe in through the mouth. Hold few seconds. Breathe out through the nose. Repeat 5 rounds. This also helps to cool down the body temperature.

# Tip 3- Calm the nerves- Chandra Bhedana Pranayama 

Summer time mean temperature is hot outside and chances are bright that we are likely to lose our temper, get easily irritate and impatient. That’s where Chandra Bhedana Pranayam helps. You start by inhaling from the left nostril and exhaling from the right nostril. This breathing technique cleanses the nadis (internal energy channels) and has a cooling effect on the nervous system. Mind cooling yoga exercise! Repeat 5 rounds.

70% of your body is made up of water. So drink up more liquids. Increase the lime/lemon water intake. Infuse fruit pieces of your choice in your everyday bottle water or use organic sherbets (Kokum, Rose)

Cooling Cucumber Raita- Quick Yoghurt Dip Recipe

#Cooling Cucumber Raita#

Serve Yoga Raita as a refreshing accompaniment at lunch or as a dip alongside fresh cut veggies alight midday snack. (Guarded best natural weight loss tips)

Ingredients-

– 1 cup whole, low-fat, or non-fat plain yogurt

– 1 cup peeled, seeded and finely diced or grated cucumber (if grated remove the water

content by pressing between palms)

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander (or your favourite fresh herb dill, oregano)

– ¼ tablespoon roasted cumin powder

– Salt to taste

Directions-

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients together. Season the mixture with salt. Cover with a shrink wrap.
  2. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve immediately.
