13th July 2013 – Saturday – Seeking Pleasure
“It will be a good topic if each one speaks a little about how they are able to get pleasure in life. There is no secret that we are all after pleasure. What did you try and how much pleasure did you get? Then one can say if one is truthful, so let us listen.”

15th July 2013 – Monday – Dvesa
“We tend to get fed up with things we like. It’s something we may not accept, but it is true. Even at home this happens; it happens in the work place. So we are looking for new things. This keeps us busy, newer and newer things and no satisfaction in anything. Dvesa is the word.”

16th July 2013 – Tuesday – Bhagwad Gita 4.34-35
“So this is one of those important shlokas, gaining the highest knowledge- Questions , inquiries, service, help, all these are the ways. Highest is of course, yogic study. So these are all important shlokas in the ending chapter.”

18th July 2013 – Thursday – Abhinivesa
Abhinivesa is a very strong word in yoga. Sense of ‘I’. One just cannot overcome this sense, and it affects us all in our life. So the ultimate idea in yoga is to overcome this ‘I’. And it has to start from the very smallest point. The ‘not I’ Is the goal, and in every action it has to be shown. ‘I have done nothing- it is all God’s grace’- that is the thought.”

19th July 2013 – Friday – Yoga Sutra 2.8
“Pleasure makes us run after it. We love it. We want more and more of it. As soon as pain comes- we run away , we don’t like it. This is the cycle. We have to learn to take both of them together- that we can’t do. We are always on the wait and that is why there is so much suffering. That is what this sutra tells us.”
