24th August 2013 – Saturday – Purpose of Life
“Life and purpose of life. We are living, but why? No chance to think, we just carry on and that creates problems. We sometimes find difficulties, sometimes don’t know how to overcome them. We should spend a little time to try to understand more about us. That’s the idea today.”

25th August 2013 – Sunday – Change Yourself
“We are given to this idea of change. We get really bored, we see new things, we like them, we try to imitate; this is a process of life. The other way actually hurts; just living in Mauna, not responding, later on we want to come out of that. This is a natural feeling. Nature has made us to so function that we get bored of this bit of just staying still where we are coming to Know; this is a big stage.”

26th August 2013 – Monday – Vikshipta Chitta
“In yoga, we study the mind. That is the central problem. If you have understood it a little, it is sometimes jumpy, sometimes steady. And when it is steady we get lost into it. So all the way the attention is on the mind, till it becomes absolutely steady. ”

27th August 2013 – Tuesday – Bhagavad Gita 5.6, 5.7
“We are continuing this idea of creating a mind which is free from desire. This is the main idea learnt in the great Gita. The Gita is full of it. We don’t fully appreciate it. See basically being in such a state all the time, is a difficult concept. I don’t know whether or not we can accept that idea of being all the time busy but with no desire of a personal kind. Do you think that idea works?”

29th August 2013 – Thursday – Ekagra Chitta
“We are talking about the mind control- Ekagra Chitta. Now it’s not that easy. For statements’ sake we can talk of it as controlling the mind, but the individuals capacity, his attitude, direction- all these are important. So they are discussed, they are all very high quality. Keeping the mind running here and there does not help. One has to be internally fixed and must continually pursue. When that happens, then one-pointedness can occur.”

30th August 2013 – Friday – Yoga Sutra 2.14
“The emphasis is on good and bad actions. You see, if we have done good acts then there is happiness. Unfortunately, we mention about the bad happenings during the day. We don’t recognize the bad actions that we are doing. This is what the verse is trying to tell us.”
