The propitious presence of eminent colleagues –Swami Baba Ramdevji, Honourable Chief Guest- Shri. M Venkaiah Naidu (Union Minister of Urban Development, Information & Broadcasting Govt. of India), AYUSH ministers and many others from Yoga fraternity made the day even more splendid and a memorable one.

Addressing the gathering Yoga Guru Smt. Hansaji’s shared her thoughts-

Mahostav or fest- these words designate Bhavanas or feelings, a feeling of joy and a feeling of positivity.

If you have had the opportunity to read Yoga Sutra by Maharishi Pantanjali-you will find mention of bhavas or feelings in many sutras.

Two Sutras come to mind

Yoga Sutra 1.33

Yoga Sutra 14

Maitri, Karuna, Mudita , Upeksha and Satkara all of these are bhavas or feelings mentioned in the above two Sutras. Both mention and lay stress and importance on feelings or bhavas. Doing Pranayama, Asanas mechanically has no meaning. Just think about it. A balance state of mind and bhava with which ansanas are done is important.

Now, Chitta has 4 components Dharma, Gyan, Vairagya and Ashvairya- these four bhavas need to be incooperated while performing any Yoga Asanas. We could learn from children, how they are fully absorbed and engrossed with joyous feelings when playing or doing anything.

Okay, moving on to lighter side of things

One individual at The Yoga Institute asked me, “I love You”- Mam someone must have invented it. Who and Where must have it originated?

One person guessed USA; other said maybe France; third said Maybe UK

But One person stood up in full jest and confidence and declared “China For Sure”

Everyone was surprised at his confidence and asked him how come he is so sure?

“No Guarantee

No Warranty”

But in Yoga there is Guarantee! Guarantee when done correctly freedom from sickness and problems. It empowers you with an ability, self-confidence and wholesome health on all three levels body, mind and soul. Yoga is like a barometer that helps you gauge your true self. Make it a habit to think!
