Yoga for Glowing Skin

Kapalarandhra Dhouti

When it comes to yoga for face glow, Kapalarandhra Dhouti, is a wonderful cleansing technique that massages facial muscles. This yogic technique also irrigates all the cavities of the skull and frees them pollutants, bacteria, viruses and excess mucus. 

Steps:

• Keep your thumbs on the sides of your temples. 

• Using your forefingers massage your forehead with your fingers.

• Massage the area around your eyes in a circular motion using your index and middle fingers.

• Gently pinch your eyebrows along their length.

• Massage your cheeks with both hands in an upward direction.

• Massage the spaces above and below your lips.

• With your index and middle fingers, massage sides of your face and behind your ears back and forth.

• Massage your neck with upward strokes while looking upwards.

Simhasana

As the name suggests, this asana is inspired by the lion. Simhasana is known for its ability to release tension and stress, two factors that can contribute to skin issues such as acne and premature aging. The pose involves opening the throat and stretching the facial muscles, promoting blood circulation to the face. It is an excellent yoga for face glow

• Start in a comfortable seated position, such as Vajrasana.

• Place your hands on the floor in front and spread your fingers wide.

• Inhale deeply through your nose.

• As you exhale, open your mouth wide, stick your tongue out, and gaze at the space between your eyebrows or the tip of your nose.

• Roar like a lion, making a "ha" sound while exhaling forcefully.

• While roaring, stretch your tongue down towards the chin, open your eyes wide, and contract the muscles on your face.

• Release the posture by coming back to a neutral seated position with hands on your knees.

Varun Mudra

This mudra is associated with the water element and vitalizes the skin by balancing the water content in the body and hydrating it. Circulation of fluids in the body is activated and thus the whole body is moisturised thus making your skin clearer than before. 

• Sit in any cross-legged position. 

• Touch the tips of your little fingers with the tips of your thumbs gently and keep the other fingers straight. 

• Place both hands on your thighs or kneecaps

• Close your eyes and breathe normally for a few minutes.
